Danielle DiGuglielmo

  • Danielle is a Product Marketer driving strategic digital transformation through her expertise in business process improvement, marketing, and product management. She strives to deliver products and services to her customers that improve business performance and customer experience. She is passionate about fitness, cycling, cooking, travel, and dance music.

Nick
Biagi

  • After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Business; Nick Biagi founded, purchased and successfully exited 3 companies ranging from financial services to recycling, asset-based logistics, industrial packaging and warehousing. Along with his wife Tammie, Nick has also invested/managed numerous real estate projects throughout Southern NJ.

    Nick Co-Founded BC Processing in 2004 which quickly grew to the largest privately held payment processing company in the Philadelphia region and was ultimately sold in 2012.

    After selling BC Processing, Nick was partner in Gorgo Group which provided pallets, packaging supplies, warehousing and trucking services to medium & large companies. Nick and his partner sold Gorgo to a strategic buyer in late 2021.

    Nick enjoys traveling, coaching his kid’s sports teams, and watching the Sixers, Eagles, and Phillies play.

    Throughout Nick’s career he has donated and assisted in fundraising efforts for many NPO’s mostly around underprivileged youth and youth sports organizations.

Sue
Dougherty

  • Sue Dougherty founded Ms. Write Stationery 34 years ago and in 2010 started Knitmitts.com. Sue comes to B Inspired with a multitude of business knowledge and non-profit experience.

    Sue is one of the three founders of 1854 Cares which is the Volunteer organization for the Philadelphia Cricket Club. 1854 Cares’ focus is helping those less fortunate in the Philadelphia area. In just six years 1854 has amassed a membership of almost 300. Previously Sue held various leadership positions at the Cricket Club.

    While her two children were young and skating and playing hockey, Sue became involved in The Wissahickon Skating Club and was the Director of Membership for the Board of Wissahickon Skating Club.

    When living in Center City Sue was President of the Auxiliary of Pennsylvania Hospital which was instrumental in raising money for various projects and nonprofit organizations affiliated with Pennsylvania Hospital.

    Fun Fact: Sue has lived in 7 different states in the US and 3 different times in Massachusetts.

Liz
Harris

  • Liz Harris is the Co-Founder of B Inspired Philadelphia. She is a graduate of Lehigh University (B.A.) and Temple University Beasley School of Law (J.D.). Liz has over 30 years of experience working in secondary and higher education in teaching, advising coaching and administration at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, Harvard University and Lehigh University. Liz has served on the boards of Steppingstone Scholars, Philadelphia Ballet, St. Thomas Nursery School and is currently on the board of Philadelphia Youth Sports Collaborative. Liz served as the Executive Director of B Inspired Philadelphia from 2019-2024.

 

Amy
Carolla

  • Amy Carolla is the proud owner of Balance Chestnut Hill, a dynamic fitness studio nestled in Philadelphia's vibrant Chestnut Hill community. Equipped with a BS degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Nutrition from West Chester University, Amy brings a wealth of expertise to her craft. Certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine in Exercise Science and Nutrition, as well as in Barre and Cycling, she opened Balance Chestnut Hill in 2008 with a vision to revolutionize health and wellness.

    Amy's commitment extends beyond the studio walls. As a co-founder of B Inspired Philadelphia, a nonprofit dedicated to enriching the lives of underserved children in Philadelphia Public Schools, she champions access to holistic experiences in health, wellness, arts, and community engagement.

    With a philosophy rooted in the belief that mindset is paramount, Amy approaches workouts and client goals with a deep understanding that progress is a journey. Her dedication to fostering a sense of community at Balance Chestnut Hill reflects her belief that wellness is a journey accessible to all, regardless of age or background.

Chris
Avery

  • Chris Avery is the Vice President of Strategy and Partnerships for Heights Philadelphia where he oversees programmatic initiatives and helps the organization forge important relationships to enhance its work in the community. He works to build high quality academic enrichment programs that prepare students for college and success and leadership in society. Prior to The Heights, Chris spent 14 years as an administrator and presenter for schools, most notably serving as Director of Community at The Haverford School for Boys. Chris has served on several boards and committees. In 2014 he received the National Teaching Tolerance: Teacher of the Year Award due to his dedication to improving education and better preparing students for the diverse world they face. He was a contributing author for the Corwin Bestseller, The Guide for White Women who Teach Black Boys.

Theodore Hershberg

  • Theodore Hershberg is Professor Emeritus, Public Policy and History, and founding Director of the Center for Greater Philadelphia, at the University of Pennsylvania, where he taught from 1967 to his retirement in 2018. In 1995, his interest in human capital led to an examination of education standards, and in 2000 he established Operation Public Education to develop a new set of rules and incentives to govern K – 12. In 2009, Harvard Education Press published his A Grand Bargain for Education Reform: New Rewards and Supports for New Accountability (with Claire Robertson-Kraft). Many of these reforms were implemented in the Aldine Independent School District in Houston, Texas. Grants from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Laura and John Arnold Foundation, Brown Foundation, Annenberg Foundation, Carnegie Corporation, Pew Charitable Trust and William Penn Foundation supported the work on school reform. Prof. Hershberg has spoken to audiences in over 80 cities hosted by the National School Boards Association, American Association of School Administrators, and the Teacher Union Reform Network to name but a few.

Marybeth Medernach

  • Marybeth Medernach spent over 30 years as a Film Producer in New York and Los Angeles, starting as a producer of commercials, music videos, and independent films, traveling the world working with some of the leading directors and production companies. Marybeth co-founded and was Managing Director of Ohio Edit based in New York City. Later in her career, she worked with a world renown visual effects company based in New Zealand. Presently Marybeth has dedicated her time to community service, working with a group of like-minded women who share in her passion.

 

Dr. Nazanin
Saedi

  • Dr. Nazanin Saedi is a board-certified, fellowship trained cosmetic dermatologist. She practices at Dermatology Associates of Plymouth Meeting and is the Department Co-Director of the Laser and Aesthetics Surgery Center.

    Dr. Saedi graduated from Princeton University and attended The George Washington University School of Medicine. She worked and taught at Thomas Jefferson University for 9 years before going into private practice. She continues to serve as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Dermatology at Thomas Jefferson University.

    She lectures nationally on laser Surgery and cosmetic dermatology. She is frequently quoted in the Skimm, Allure, New York Magazine, EveryDay Health, Martha Stewart, and Marie Claire. She lives in Chestnut Hill with her husband and two sons.

Gail
Detweiler

  • Gail Detweiler worked in technology sales and marketing for over 20 years. Her focus was primarily on collaboration solutions for global banking and financial clients. Now retired, Gail has dedicated her time to community initiatives that focus on bridging the education gap in underserved communities. Currently, Gail is the owner and manager of the Chestnut Hill Dancing School, a neighborhood program that promotes the development of children’s social confidence by practicing dancing, kindness, and etiquette. Gail helps to support fundraising initiatives at St. Paul’s School, and she is on the board of Horizons at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy.

Tammie
Biagi

  • Tammie Biagi founded Black Door Designs in 2019, which specializes in interior design services and real estate investments. Prior to starting Black Door Designs, Tammie graduated with a Business & Marketing degree in 2003. After college, she worked for 2 Fortune 500 companies, in the Philadelphia region, where she was responsible for Sales Growth, New Hire Trainings, Mentoring, and Sales Management.

    Tammie left the corporate world to work with her husband, Nick, at their business, Gorgo Group, which specialized in manufacturing and logistics. Together they grew Gorgo Group from a “mom and pop” shop to the leading pallet manufacturer in the region. After having their 3 children, Tammie left Gorgo Group to spend time raising her children, all the while continuing her love of design and real estate, which ultimately lead to where she is today at Black Door Designs.

    Tammie has a passion for fitness, food, and travel. She also is an active member in her community volunteering for many local youth organizations.
